Making Contact and Fees
Do you feel unsure or confused about making contact?
At times it might feel very daunting contacting a psychotherapist; however I seek to offer a warm, engaging and empathetic environment and a trusting therapeutic relationship.
In our first meeting I seek to gain a greater understanding of your presenting difficulties and to discuss your needs and explore whether therapy might be helpful to you. There is no commitment to ongoing work at this stage. If you decide you would like to continue, we would then agree upon a regular day and time to meet each week on an ongoing basis. The establishment of regular sessions is an important element of psychotherapy as the regularity and structure can provide people with a sense of security and continuity whilst exploring their issues and difficulties.
Our initial appointment will be an assesment session where we aim to explore:
If we decide to work together, sessions usually take place, for 50 minutes, in a mutual agreed time, Monday to Saturday, daytime or evening.
Once we make the decision to start working together in regular therapy, I undertake a commitment to keeping the appointment available and open for the clients. This means that I will also ask clients to pay for missed sessions as they are kept open for them even in their absence. If they are unable to attend, I will make every effort to offer a replacement session during the week but unfortunately this might not always be possible
To make an initial appointment or to just ask for more information please don't hesitate to contact me by phone or email. Either way your message will be strictly confidential and answered as soon as possible.
